Medicinal Properties:

Its fruit is a popular treatment for the management of female reproductive disorders including corpus luteum insufficiency, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), menopausal symptoms, and insufficient milk production. The extracts of the berries are thought to act on the pituitary and regulate hormones. It has been told that at one time monks used the chaste tree parts to make a tea that suppressed libido.
