Trees were measured and nomination packets were prepared and submitted for the trees listed below. For this awards cycle, the timeline from nomination to announcements are as follows:
- December 1, 2023: Public nomination period opens
- May 31, 2024: Public nomination period closes. Nominations received after May 31 will be added to the following year's list
- June 1, 2024: Tree verification period opens
- September 15, 2024: Tree verification period closes
- October 15, 2024: Nominators notified of status of submitted trees
- December 31, 2024: State register of Magnificent Trees is announced
