Arizona's Magnificent Trees in the Campus Arboretum Collection

The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management  hosts the Magnificent Tree Program. The program recognizes trees in our state that are extraordinary. The program aims to connect the people of Arizona with tree and promote awareness of the importance of forestry and urban forestry for the well-being of both environment and its people. It encourages people to pay attention to trees as critical componens of our built and natural ecosystems. There are three classes of recognition: The Champion Trees, The Heritage Trees and The Witness Trees.
