TOTW Moringa oleifera

A native to India, the moringa, or horseradish tree, is a fast-growing tree that was imported for use in the restoration of disturbed areas. Now it’s most commonly used in agriculture, as nearly every part of the tree is edible, including its leaves, flowers, seeds, roots, and extracted oil. Horseradish leaves are said to contain 7 times the vitamin C of oranges, 4 times the calcium in milk, 4 times the vitamin A in carrots, and 3 times the potassium in bananas. And as if that isn’t enough, Moringa oleifera is prized for its application in traditional medicine!
