TOTW Eucalyptus sargentii

The Salt River gum tree originated in Western Australia, like many other Eucalyptus tree species. As the name implies, this species has adapted to grow well in high saline soils. It is common to find this tree by salt banks. Shorter and more compact than most Eucalyptus species, it is often used in riparian restoration to stabilize soils and is a crucial food source for birds, insects, and animals.
