Tesha Banks 2025

Tesha is shown here, hanging with her "homies" (cacti and succulents) and finding inspiration for the virtual tours she is creating this summer and fall.

Tesha Banks, an undergraduate student worker with the Campus Arboretum created a self-guided tour booklet in 2025 which features trees from our collection that inspire our presence and consideration. She calls the tour "Medi-TREE-tion"! The self-guided tour not only expounds the fascinating biology of plants but also serves as a mindfulness practice with these particularly inspiring campus trees. In Fall 2205, Tesha converted the tour into a virtual experience available now as a YouTube video found here. We hope you'll watch online and be inspired to visit campus to experience deeper connection with the campus trees. If you're able to come when the campus is quiet (early mornings or most of the day on Sundays), you will reap the benefits of calm, clarity and ease that come from time in nature...and all within reach at the heart of Tucson!
