Medicinal Properties:

This plant is used to treat vertigo, digestive problems, and general body aches. The leaves act as an abortifacient and is therefore dangerous to pregnant women. The steroidal alkaloids extracted from the plant are used to produce synthetic steroids. This plant also exhibits anti-malarial activity.
