Helen supported several major arboretum initiatives including the construction of the Desert Plant Conservatory, a collection of unusual plants used for student education and public tours, and the creation of the Coral Reef Garden at the USS Arizona Memorial on the UA Mall. Helen also contributed to support a critical staff position who provided the arboretum essential service as the registrar of collections for three years. Helen's contributions elevated the quality and capacity of the arboretum to serve the university and community and we are deeply thankful for her generous spirit!
