Edible Characteristics:

The yellow orange to red dates are oblong and about 1 ½ in. in length. These are harvested in late summer and early autumn. Ripe dates are rich in sugar, 60-80% of the contents. Generally grown in arid regions with supplemental water, a single palm can produce in excess of 250 lbs. of dates per season.
