Florilegium Artist_Jennis Norris

Jennie Norris is a professional graphic designer, illustrator, and award-winning fine artist. Her graphic design career began in product development and design in the gift and stationery industry. Clients included Crayola, Sea World, Hasbro, Hershey, with product placement in retailers such as Michael’s, JoAnn Stores, Target, and Costco.

 

Since 2012 she has been a graphic designer at the University of Arizona. In 2019 she served a 2 year contract with the United States Mint as a member of the Artistic Infusion Program to create and submit new designs for circulating coins, national medals, and collectible coins. In 2020 her design for the American Eagle Gold coin was chosen to be minted and was released in late July 2021.

 

During her years as a professional fine artist, she’s exhibited in numerous group and solo shows across Arizona. Her works were added to private collections all over the United States. She is published in several publications including Strokes of Genius: The Best of Drawing (North Light Books).

 

A resident of Tucson, Arizona since 1976, Jennie considers the desert her home. Primarily working in graphite, liquid graphite, and watercolor, she spends as much time as possible outdoors, gathering reference and inspiration in an effort to communicate her love and excitement for nature.
