2018 Campus Clean Up

Undergraduate students including The Dorrance Scholars will gather to plant and clean up the landscape at Saguaro Hall. The garden area of this building has been the site of student service learning activities in the past and provides a wonderful opportunity for continuous student engagement. The day of service will include planting new trees, transplanting cacti, succulents and ornamental grasses to refresh and enhance the site. Our goal is to create a garden that models sustainable choices - in which suitable plants are sited in appropriate microclimates where they will thrive and attract attention to the beauty and showcase the deeper value of the campus trees and landscape. Ultimately, our goal is specific to mentoring students and connecting those who will be future environmental stewards to the landscapes we need for resilient, sustainable cities.

Bring work gloves, and wear appropriate footwear and sun protection. Refreshments will be provided. The community is invited to join us. RSVPs are appreciated to infoarboretum @ag.arizona.edu or (520)621-7074.
