New Arboretum Office in Herring Hall
On September 3, 2004, the newly re-dedicated Herring
Hall opened to house the office of the UA Campus Arboretum. Built
in 1903, Herring is the second oldest building on campus. It harkens
back to the early days of the Land Grant Institution, under which so
many botanists and agriculturists explored the Sonoran Desert, investigated
potential crops from arid lands, and worked to "civilize" the
dusty University of Arizona in Tucson. Director - Elizabeth Davison UA Campus Arboretum - University of Arizona - PO Box 210036 - Tucson AZ, 85721
